Introduction to research
The CPES places research at the heart of its pedagogy: laboratory visits, conferences, supervised projects and the possibility of working with partner research teams. The aim is to familiarise students with scientific methods, the formulation of a research question and the communication of results.
Content and format
- Visits and meetings with laboratories (UPS, ENS Paris-Saclay, IPP, etc.).
- Supervised mini research projects from year 1 (L1).
- Thematic conferences and seminars to develop critical thinking.
Why get involved?
The introduction to research enables students to:
- Understand the role of research in producing knowledge and tools.
- Learn to read scientific articles and apply experimental methods.
- Explore pathways for continuing in a master’s or research programme.
If you would like to take part in a research project, contact the course coordinators or the academic coordination team.
